slemish design studio architects have been appointed as architects for an extension and renovation to a 1900 townhouse in Belmont Area of Belfast.
creating a new kitchen/living area to the rear with additional reconfiguration to the floor plans, along with external design for outside living.
Slemish Design Studio Architects were asked by Michael McKay Photography to come up with a new shopfront to keep in context with the Randalstown conservation area.
We’ve submitted the planning application & hope to start onsite in the new year.
The aim of the Project is to support existing traders, promote the town and improve the attractiveness of the shop frontages.
Announcing the funding, Minister McCausland said: “Revitalise schemes have proved very successful in other areas by increasing footfall and supporting the local traders in the area. This funding of £160,000 will help Randalstown to be as equally successful. The programme of works will upgrade shop frontages and associated improvements along Main Street, John Street, Moore’s Lane and New Street which, on completion, will create vibrancy and impact on the lives of those who live, work and visit the area.”
Mayor of Antrim Borough Council, Brian Graham, said: “I would like to thank the Minister for Social Development and his Department for their significant financial contribution towards the Randalstown Revitalise scheme. This funding announcement to improve shop fronts and implement a marketing campaign for the town has come at a great time. The Council and the Revitalise steering group made a call for applications back in May this year and recently received 20 applications for funding from property owners. Now that we have this good news we can press ahead with the scheme. By visibly enhancing the town centre this scheme will hopefully encourage more private sector investment and new business creation.”
